So happy to see the blog.it is very good and keep up the good work.(have they paid you for this blog or student fund ????? : ). Pranav had asked me to write a review about my exp in wipro.
my experience has been worse so far ,the reasons,
1)No timings ,12 to 13 hrs of work and 3 hrs of traffic no time to sleep.
2)The managers are worse,they will screw up and put the blame on you.especially guys..
3)Pay is very less .WASEIANS are treated like dogs,and nothing less.
4)one such incident happened that one of the senior waseians after completing the so called M.S by BITS went to IIT for his Phd but the IIT refused him admission saying that the M.S Degree is not valid.But bits say its degrees are valid and all goof up is going on.
5)The syllabus for MS is really bluff,our BCA is tough.
just think of a simple calculation from wipro side.
wipro charges the clients 75$ per hour for 8 hrs=27000 Rs per day and pays 9700 to waseians.
6)I strongly suggest all my juniors to join MCA after BCA,or search for a job other than wase,it is quite easy to get a job now a days.
They transfer you to an unknown city ,expect you to make a living out of 10000 Rs,just calculate.2500 for transportation+5000 for PG+1200 atleast for lunch in wipro+2000 ur personal expenses.Which sum up more than the 10000.again you need to beg your parents for money.
I simply dont understand why should we work for wipro by spending our own money.
And the weekend classes are horrible,you wont even have 1 day off,most of the times the managers ask you to work on the weekends and miss classes,firstly we are working for 10000.for MS degree and bunkin the classes makes no sense.Simply think Why should we work for such a meger amount.you people may not be having exposure,but i am teling you these comanies are not a bed of roses and wipro is certainly not .
Ans coming to work ,please dont think that you would be into development,they will put you into some support project,where your job will be monitoring .and that too no future from career point of view.join another comany for 2 to 2.5 lac per annum and live well,do MCA by IGNOU.
PLS PLS Dont join or else you will deifinately repent later.
as of now i couldnt take it and quit wipro wase ,am in Delhi working for HCL company.

Dont get depressed. these happen in al mnc's. And no company wil pay you the amount they get from client directly. Its an organisation,you are not a tuition teacher to get the amount fully for yourselves. And al cities have traffic. nad once you have prejudice , nothing can make ur exprnce a good one. be neutral and go n join and work.enjoy life, and parents who have supported you for 21 yrs wont feel bad to extend their support for an yr more. else adjust and struggle for a few days. n NO company will give 2.5L for a b.sc guy. unless its a very reputed clg.
Who told support n monitoring doesnt have career and only development has? Even i am working on a support job. I feel extremely satisfied with this. Whichevr job u r, if u r good at ur skills, be it monitoring scripting or coding or testing, ppl n jobs wil come searching you. i konw one of my frnd who was in prod support and after 2 yrs moved to Oracle with a huge package. I am repeating, Dont've prejudice..

Agree with you in most of the points. But as you said that support functions are not a good career, is not true. Here I would second with anonymous that if we are good on some technology, that technology is good. I have seen people getting huge sum in support and there are lots of onsie opportunities for them after 3-4 years. So I strongly recommond people that if they have a good choice to go for MCA or MBA from a good college,then they should never think about WASE. This is only for people who could not get admission in good colleges and do not have any financial responsibility towards their family. They can come and join it as a (Job+Degree) not (Degree+Job). A BCA/B.Sc degree holder in India should be happy with 10-15K (depends upon shifts job) in the first year.

do you even know the fees wipro pays to BITS for your MS??
if you had done your maths then you would know you are already getting 1.8Lac package(in first year itself) plus 4 yrs of IT experience plus MS degree form BITS. Dont blame WASE if you cant cope up with stress. after 4 years you get a veryyy gud placement..i have seen my seniors getting upto 12L package after 4 yrs.
see i believe Wipro's programs sucks and after reading this i am very sure now...

See, the degree MS provides has no value in foreign..
you will give 4 years to Wipro WASE and then you will get 12L package...
Being an BCA and having 4 years of experience you will still get 12 lacs(you won't have to stress your self going WASE,WISTA or WIMS)
Even if you do a Tech support job for a year or two, change your company you will surely get a developer job(but obvious you need to have knowledge + make sure the company you work as tech support is not making you answers clients calls on phone)....
Doing 4 years of Job in any MNC will give you higher pay than WIPRO, You can use some amount on certifications like SCJP,CCNA(there are lot more) ...
And mind you MS degree from wipro won't be able to stand in front of Certification of Sun Microsystems, CCNA's or Oracle's....
P.S Clear your Mind, if you taking Wipro's MS as your PG, forget it go for MCA ot M.Tech..
If you want to earn don't go, go and work in any MNC do certification...

Guys, I have done WASE from Wipro.. u will not get good salary upfront.. etc etc.. most of the challenges mentioned above are common in all indian It companies.. and it depends on case to case..
I am very happy that I did WASE and not joined other companies.. I can give u contacts of 100+ people who did WASE and are more successful than others.. in terms of money, designation, work, settling down in abroad..

It will be very hectic life and above all no value for your MS degree.
Salary expectations will be less once you complete.and many companies wont even consider your MS degree if you want to change the company..its waste prgm.

Guys... i myself im into Wista.. i would like put down frank coments.. over here.. its like.. we guys hve done a 3 yr degre and not a btech.. and the curnt market trends are not at all recruiting engi. grads at all and more over they dnt put u in BPO sector at all so be hapy abt it.. well more over allocation of projects wil be based on ur traning scores , u score well during trainin ul be into gud projects no cmpany will put gud employes at stake.. true tat competation is very high..RESPECT FROM MANAGERS CAN ONLY BE EARNT ONCE U PERFROM AND BEHAVE WELL...if these thngs lack in u.. ul fell every MNC is the same...!!

I want to know the importance of this program.Should i join it or go for MBA?
And i am a bsc. graduate,yes it an eternal truth that in india only BE/Btech degrees are values and being bsc is like an illeterate(as everyone treats us).

Wista - Waste of Intelligent Student's Time and Aptitude.
Never join this. It sucks. Sit at home, you'll not regret.
They are playing with life of b.sc, bca guys. Especially WiSTA programme,Think Can a b.sc student from b.sc ( biology, chemistry,physics ) background can step into I.T industry? And that too they are being enrolled for M.Tech which is offered by VIT. Do you think they will survive in industry? Well How many years?
And do you think that they give you development project? They will be giving you support and testing projects and you will be used like anything (more than a slave).
Project managers prefer Wasions/Wistaites over B.Tech candidates, why ? To reduce the project budget and earn more commissions. For a B-Tech candidate, minimum payout is 25k/month which you will not even receive in 4th year. B.Tech candidates will have hikes every year, where as wase/wista has fixed scholarship.
WiSTA/WASE people are treated like slaves. They will not be given any leaves. And do you know ? Most of the reimbursements are cancelled for WiSTA and WASE people.
